Once upon a time, many years ago, my Mother swam with the dolphins at the Dolphin Research Center located in Marathon, Florida. On Christmas morning in 2024, after the entire family had opened all of their gifts, I presented her with this painting. While I believe that people, in general, should not find themselves in tears on Christmas morning, well, I think that she liked this gift a lot. This was a challenging composition on several counts. For instance, I actually increased the size of the dolphin four different times before I was pleased with the final product.
