5th Anniversary: River Valley

This canvas was added to the Portfolio on July 9, 2023. More than once I paid my “parental dues” and served as a Chaperone for an overnight trip sponsored by my sons’ middle-school. The days were filled with horseback riding, a very terrifying zip line, and a spirited reenactment of the Battle at Antietam Bridge featuring water balloons. Three meals a day? Yes, indeed. Getting any sleep in the bunk house? Not so much. Oh, but there’s also a very nice covered bridge, one that crosses the South Branch of Gunpowder Falls where the Falls meet Muddy Creek not far from Prettyboy Reservoir, on the grounds of River Valley Ranch located about 7 miles northeast of Manchester, Maryland.
